Watching the Olympics with my kids.

 

Today I am guest posting (is a that a verb?  It should be.) over at my friend Robin’s blog:  Pink Dryer Lint.  Robin has been my internet friend for many moons and I am constantly impressed with her insight, dry wit, and her ability to juggle a million things at one time.

Gentle reader, I love the Olympics.   I love them, I love them, I love them.  As a family we’ve spent many hours this past two weeks watching the summer games on t.v.  So many hours.  Too many hours probably.

I justify all this by saying that the Summer Olympics only come every four years and since the kids aren’t in school why not let them stay up later and watch these educational and culturally enriching competitions?

In reality I just have an absurd fascination with Michael Phelps.

  1. I was sad to hear that Michael Phelps is retiring and won’t be competing anymore. *heavy sigh* I guess he wants a life. After all, who has time to date and get married when you’re in the pool training for eight hours a day?
