A howling success.

I was at the top of my game today.

It was one of those rare times when the planets aligned, my patience was increased tenfold, the children got along, and everything has gone as it should with no catastrophes, disasters, or nuclear explosions of any kind.

In hindsight, I should totally have played the lottery.

To make it all even more amazing, I created two things I had on my Pinterest site: an art project with the kids (I know, I can’t believe it either.  I’m turning into a regular old Van Gogh with all the craftiness going on around here lately) and a new recipe for dinner:  basil chicken in coconut curry sauce. (And now you’re salivating all over your computer.)

I love Pinterest.  Not only does it provide you with hours of enjoyment as you peruse crafts, photography, cooking, interior design, and a million other topics, but it allows you to dream and say “Someday I’m going to get off my lazy bottom and actually do something awesome like this.”

Then when you can actually accomplish something you’ve pinned on Pinterest?  It’s like the heavens open and angels smile down upon, letting you bask in a self congratulatory glow to the sounds of celestial singing.

You think I’m kidding.  I assure you I’m not.

Now my offspring are relatively clean, clad in pajamas, watching my, I mean their favorite show, The Backyardigans and I am at peace.  Not to mention my fingers smell like ginger.  <sigh contentedly>

Life is so very, very good today gentle readers.  It sort of makes up for the terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad days that I know are just lurking around the corner.

  4. Doesn’t curry make any day a howling success? I mean really.
